As a major player in urban development, we also fully exercise our social responsibility. The Immobel Social Fund reserves 1% of its net profits to support organisations and associations which work in particular in the fields of health, culture and social inclusion.

Health

Thanks to the Fund, we are committed to medical research. The Group provides financial support to institutions such as Bordet for cancer research or Saint-Luc, for  clinical research in respiratory medicine. It also supports Télévie in its fight against cancer in children and adults.

Culture

The Group has contributed to the development of charities and associations for the dissemination, protection and promotion of all the arts and heritage conservation. In particular, the Social Fund supported the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, a foundation that offers talented young artists the chance to improve their skills, and the European Quarter Fund which aims to improve the image, layout and functioning of the European Quarter.

Social inclusion

By contributing financially to help professional organisations active in education in the broadest sense, the Immobel Engagement Fund wishes to give young people from more vulnerable backgrounds the chance to integrate socially and enter the jobs market. The purpose of our supports for associations such as Calame, TADA and VUB Kinderuniversiteit is to help their beneficiaries to discover their talents and gain in self-confidence so that they can engage positively in the community.

An integral part of our overall sustainability approach

The Immobel Group will continue to provide transparency on its social and environmental performance by means of external certifications at Group level such as GRESB combined with an ambitious certification policy regarding health and environmental topics at asset level.

At the same time, Immobel is developing an integrated reporting framework, aligned with the requirements of the EU taxonomy and the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
