The renaissance of one of the city’s iconic buildings
Located in the heart of Esch-sur-Alzette at 44 Rue du Canal, this building, which forms part of the heritage of the city, will be renovated in line with strict conditions and accommodate new residential units along with numerous services at ground floor level, accessible from the Rue du Canal. Originally constructed in 1938 to respond to the needs of a historical press group, the building and in particular its emblematic facade with its sculpted stonework and its terrace-style entrance, will receive particular attention in order to retain the spirit of the past within the district. Several of the interior architectural elements will also be carefully rehabilitated in order to conserve and bring to life the soul and the history of the building. Three new residential units will also be constructed to the rear.
