Rehabilitation of an industrial wasteland in Nivelles.
Two months after the Walloon Region delivered the integrated permit for the Îlot Saint-Roch, and almost 5 years after the initial sketches, Immobel is preparing to start the construction site and the commercialisation of the project.
Specialised in the revitalisation of large-scale sites in city centres, with this project Immobel will allow for the rehabilitation of a zone of wasteland whilst also giving fresh impetus to the town centre and the businesses in Nivelles. The project is part of a forward-looking approach, including places of exchange with, for instance, an urban vegetable garden, a park, and a playground.
The project is the outcome of a fruitful collaboration between Immobel and the City of Nivelles, which was able to contribute significantly throughout the development of the project, thereby ensuring the coherence between the Îlot Saint-Roch and the City of Nivelles’ vision of far-reaching urban development. Construction will begin on Monday 15 March.
