WeWork is a new work and life culture

WeWork, established in 2010, defines its mission as creating space where people work to make a life, not just a living. It offers its users new, reorganised offices, which do not resemble typical unified open spaces in any way. All the locations of this international start-up, from Los Angeles to Jakarta, look more like members clubs, galleries or creative workshops. They are intended to be places that present an urban style, while being innovative and friendly – spaces where people would like to spend their free time. Above all, the company focuses on self-fulfillment at work and an atmosphere of creativity and openness, as well as the possibility to freely exchange ideas with other members.

Design and location

Currently, one of the biggest start-ups in the world has over 250 locations in 74 cities and 22 countries. Locations in Europe include: London, Manchester, Madrid, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Amsterdam and Paris, and soon, Warsaw. Its spaces are usually located in glazed, comfortable buildings with good access to light, guaranteeing an atmosphere of creativity as well as easy access from any place of the city. When planning its interiors, the company refers to design that uses the latest advances in ergonomics as well as research on productivity.

At Immobel Poland, we are proud that it is our company that introduces this exceptional brand to the Polish market. The modernised and modified Cedet turned out to be the best location in Warsaw. We joined this investment with a business that looks for unique spaces in mind. Our intention from the beginning was to restore the original character of the building, ‘one of the city’s business landmarks and a meeting place for its residents’, says Jacek Wachowicz, president of Immobel Poland.

Cedet, which was scheduled to officially open in mid-May, has gained new features during renovation and modification works. With a modern, fully glazed façade and an internal patio, all office space has gained access to daylight. Cedet also offers a size of lease modules that is unique for the city centre, available on one storey of the building – about 3,000 m2. Moreover, the building features unusually high office rooms with a clearance of 2.90 m, as well as tilting windows and terraces that are accessible to tenants. The architecture of the new Cedet provides a more flexible workplace design, where offices can be effectively arranged as either open-plan spaces or divided into individual rooms. Bike rooms with changing rooms and showers are available to tenants.
