The BGBC was established with a clear mission: to act as the reference platform for sustainable real estate in Belgium. The council bridges the gap between industry experts, real estate professionals, academic institutions, financial stakeholders, and policymakers, ensuring clarity and guidance in the sector’s transition to sustainability.  The BGBC is designed to:

• Create knowledge and share best practices to drive sustainable innovations and monitor progress towards climate goals.
• Unite industry players across Belgium’s three regions and various real estate sectors to harmonize sustainability practices.
• Advocate for a greener built environment, acting as a trusted partner for members, public authorities, and international sustainability networks.
