We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our ambitious and dynamic Legal Team. This is your opportunity to work with top-tier professionals, contribute to exciting projects, and elevate your career.
Your Mission:
As our Legal Counsel, you will provide pro-active and in-depth legal support in relation to the development projects of Immobel (residential, offices, etc.), in close cooperation with the other legal counsels and various departments. You will report to the Head of Legal.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft and review various types of construction and real estate relate agreements;
- Assist in contract negotiations;
- Monitor existing contracts and address legal issues arising during the development process;
- Provide legal assistance in the acquisition and sale process: including conducting due diligence and reviewing or drafting transaction documents, in close cooperation with external counsels;
- Proactively follow-up of the ongoing projects, from a legal and tax perspective;
- Manage and resolve legal disputes with multiple stakeholders (buyers, contractors, ...);
- Coordinate with external lawyers and advisors when needed;
- Monitor litigations and provide assistance to the company in legal disputes;
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3–6 years of relevant work experience a real estate lawyer or as an in-house legal counsel in the real estate law.
- Education: Belgian Master in Law
- Languages: Fluency in English and Dutch or French. Proficiency in all three is a strong asset.
- Skills:
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to advocate for and defend the company’s contractual interests
- Personality:
- Adaptable and capable of working efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- A collaborative team player with the ability to independently manage legal responsibilities
