Duncan Owen
Biography
Duncan has a long history of successfully building and expanding real estate investment management businesses and delivering investment performance for multiple stakeholders through a number of economic cycles. With a career spanning more than 30 years, he has an in-depth knowledge of European real estate markets and a strong track record in core-plus and value-add investment, development, asset management, refurbishment, and portfolio restructuring.
He served as Global Head of Real Estate at Schroders for nine years and subsequently, in 2021, as a Special Advisor. During this period, Real Estate AUM grew from £8bn in 2011 to over £20bn in 2020 and the business expanded from UK and Germany-only to a multinational business with 15 offices located across Europe and Asia. Investment performance was strong under Duncan’s leadership and 100% of AUM outperformed in the rolling five-year period up to the end of 2019(1). Duncan remained the Investment Manager of Schroders REIT plc for 16 years and the annualised outperformance relative to MSCI UK Balanced Portfolios Quarterly Property Index was 1%+ per annum over this period. Prior to Schroders, he was the CEO of Invista Real Estate Investment Management (“REIM”) PLC, which he founded and listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Invista portfolio grew to c.£10bn at its peak and 85%+ of AUM outperformed from 2006 - 2012. Prior to Invista, Duncan was at JLL in the LaSalle Investment Management business where he was a Director and responsible for several pan-European investment portfolios.
Relevant to the Green Office strategy, Duncan was an early adopter of integrating ESG requirements into real estate investment and financing strategies. He is now a Non-Executive Director at Workspace Group PLC, a London flexible office REIT, and he chairs the ESG committee for the board. He also sits on the Social Impact Investment committee and chairs the Real Estate Investment Committee at the Church Commissioners Pension, which is the UK’s largest endowment fund and a renowned Green investor. Finally, he is a Senior Advisor to the Sellar Property Group, a developer of office schemes such as the Shard of Glass and Paddington Central.
Monica O’neill
Biography
Monica has over thirty years’ experience in fundraising, global marketing, investor relations and compliance matters, having previously worked across leading international private equity real estate firms.
Until mid-2021, Monica served as a Senior Advisor to Tristan Capital Partners, where she was one of the founding partners in 2010. Monica headed capital raising, global investor relations and marketing for all of Tristan’s core-plus and opportunistic fund strategies. During her tenure Tristan grew from six to 100 employees and over €10bn under management.
Prior to joining Tristan, Monica led capital raising and investor relations for AEW Europe for over 7 years and raised over €6bn across various funds strategies ranging from core to value-add return profiles, for European and Asian geographies, and various property sector investment strategies. She also led the communication strategy for the firm across 11 European offices and worked closely with AEW US and Asia teams.
Monica holds a BA from Boston University, MA and earned a certificate of Fundamentals of Sustainable & Impact Investing from US SIF.
Monica was a founder of Women in Real Estate UK (WIRE UK) and remains part of the leadership team. She serves on the board of ReachAnother Foundation and on the advisory board of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. Monica has dual Irish and American citizenship.
Melinda Knatchbull
Biography
Melinda is responsible for the financial, operational and risk aspects of ICP’s real estate business.
Previously, Melinda was Chief Operating Officer for Schroder Real Estate from 2013 to 2022, responsible for global operations across the platform covering financial, operational, legal, regulatory and technology. She was a Director on all key real estate management companies at Schroders, including the UK FCA regulated entity and other entities in France, the Netherlands and Hong Kong. Melinda was also a member of the Schroder Real Estate Investment Committees (Global Direct, Indirect and Debt) and chaired several key Committees including Risk, Valuation and Operations, and was responsible for implementation of new regulations across the business including AIFMD, GDPR, Benchmark regulation and Insurance Directive. Most recently, Melinda held a key role in ESG strategy and implementation including SFDR, Net Zero and GRESB.
Prior to this, Melinda was Head of Fund Accounting at Invista Real Estate PLC and was instrumental in the creation and IPO of Invista REIM PLC in 2006. Melinda was previously Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at Insight Investment, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young.
Melinda is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.
Maureen Mahr von Staszewski
Biography
Maureen was previously at Swiss Life Asset Managers, which she joined in 2019 as a Senior Pan-European Fund Manager to set up and manage the European Thematic Income and Growth Fund (Article 8 Fund), which invested €545m.
Previously she worked at the Cromwell Property Group where she was a Senior Fund Manager responsible for the structure, strategy and management of the ESG European Fund, a team of eight with over €4bn of AUM. From 2011 to 2015, Maureen worked in various roles at AXA Investment Managers, including as the European Transaction Manager for real assets and she also managed the European Value Add Fund with GAV of €1bn. Prior to this, Maureen worked for Catalyst Capital LLP as German Head of Acquisitions between 2008 and 2011, Director of European Acquisitions in 2007, and as a Financial Analyst between 2005 and 2006. Before this, Maureen worked in Germany for Deutsche Bank AG and KPMG, as well as KPMG in Buenos Aires. She is also a working group member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) focusing on the ‘Fast Track to Decarbonisation.’
Andrew MacDonald
Biography
Andrew is responsible for originating, structuring and managing joint venture investments, debt and corporate finance. Andrew was previously Head of Real Estate Finance for Schroders, covering both equity and debt finance. His role spanned individual investments, joint ventures and funds across a range of sectors and strategies.
Andrew was closely involved with the establishment and management of a number of investment partnerships and funds, including the Schroder Income Plus Real Estate Debt Fund and the Schroders European Real Estate Investment Trust. He was also a member of the Global Indirect Investment Committee, which oversaw all indirect real estate investments.
Prior to this, Andrew spent four years at Invista REIM PLC as a Director of Opportunity and Commercial Listed Funds. Before Invista, Andrew was an Associate in the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities team at HSBC. He began his career in the real estate team at Ernst & Young and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with Knight Frank.

En collaboration avec RKW Architektur+, Kwadrat Studio Architektoniczne et Mąka Sojka Architekci, Immobel a entièrement repensé le site de Granary Island, en conservant son concept de grenier traditionnel mais en le faisant évoluer vers l’architecture moderne.
